It's getting Bleak

Things are getting bleak.  It is a dark time in the community.  Perhaps this is just my perspective.  Some people are doing great.  Getting into a program is a good thing.  Making choices.  Good choices.  Not everyone is making good choices.  People are still dying.  They said "Her arms weren't working for her.  Her hands were shaking and she couldn't eat.  She couldn't get the fork to her mouth."
The next day, she was dead.  Dead.  She died.  Her hands didn't work and you fucks didn't call an ambulance?  What the fuck?!  How bad does it have to get before you call the fucking paramedics???!!! You fucking idiots, if someone can't control her arms and hands, call the fucking ambulance!!  9fucking11!!

I know it is partly my attitude, but shit is dark.  Lots of people getting punched in the face.  Black eyes everywhere.  Bruises and sores on all the faces.  Cynicism and pessimism abound.  This is what I am seeing.  My contribution is meager.  It is almost worthless.  A distraction.  A game to be played in exchange for a little distraction.

"Resilience" in psychology is the positive capacity of people to cope with stress and adversity. This coping may result in the individual “bouncing back” to a previous state of normal functioning, or using the experience of exposure to adversity to produce a “steeling effect” and function better than expected (much like an inoculation gives one the capacity to cope well with future exposure to disease).^[1] Resilience is most commonly understood as a process, and not a trait of an individual.^[2]
